"Change is an essential part of being entrepreneur. What first time entrepreneurs often do not know is the huge difference between “The plan’’ and “Reality”. We learn about strategy at school, write extensive plans that give the illusion of reducing risk and uncertainty, but that is not how start-ups really work.
We did not have (yet) the right product market fit, we did not launch a minimum viable product, we started running out of cash too soon, we had our lead investor pushing for fast scaling and opposing any pivoting. We could have failed or succeeded. One thing was sure: the only way forward was a 180 kick flip kind of move…
I’m going to share with you what went on behind the curtains, an early stage company turn around in search for the sustainable business model, the product market fit, the right organization. A real case experience (and honest truth).
