Description:

On May 10th, Let it Grow and Royal FloraHolland announced the launch of the world's first incubator dedicated to the growth of business and projects that use flowers and plants to green our cities and make them healthier places to live in.

Plants and flowers are so much more than just decorative hipster products; they actually have the power to create healthier and happier urban environments. Combined with the latest advances in technology, we could discover opportunities and properties we’d never thought of before, ones that could change the way we live our urban lives for good. Think about it. Why charge your phone from a socket, wasting precious energy, if you could simply plug into the nearest plant? Why throw away thousands of kilos of flower petals if you could find the technology to turn them into sustainable products?

With Let it Grow, we want to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs to discover and create new uses for plants and flowers and herewith bridge the gap between start-ups and the horticulture industry.

Between 1 and 2 PM, Irene will present about the Incubation Programma that will commence on October 21st in Amsterdam, and afterwards she and her colleague VItas will be available for questions and face-to-face discussion about the ideas you may have to green your city.

Come and get your hands dirty:)
