More Information

The Virtual Patient is a good practise project in which Utrecht University works together with the municipality of Utrecht and with health care professionals in Utrecht Overvecht. From the initially defined need for better practise possibilities for health care professionals, over a period of 3 years the project resulted in the start-up of a SaaS-company called DialogueTrainer. DialogueTrainer provides a serious gaming platform for practicing communication skills for (health care) professionals, interacting with patients / clients. The platform is used in education, health care and in public organizations. In the workshop we will give an insight in the lessons learnt and how the project developed from the starting idea until the present start-up. We will demonstrate the platform and attendees can play a scenario by themselves. We will discuss new possibilities and exchange ideas for further improvement and technological innovations.

Henk van Zeijts, founder DialogueTrainer and Johan Jeuring, Professor of Software Technology for Learning and Teaching at the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University
