The Gender Gap is one of the most talked topic since forever, and still a Gap. Where are women in Tech and especially in Open Source communities? Why the gap is so big? Women participation in open technology and culture is very important so we should all pay more attention. This talk will be focused on the facts that have brought us to this situation, the real and positive impact women have in the world and what can we do to attract more women into tech.


Jona Azizaj - open source enthusiast and coder

Jona is an open source enthusiast from Albania. Being part of Open Labs, the first hackerspace that promotes free software in Tirana, she started to contribute to open source. Since then Jona has been part of different communities including Fedora, LibreOffice, Nextcloud etc. Last year she was part of Rails Girls Summer of Code working on Nextcloud and later on she joined Collabora. She loves mentoring people to start contributing in open source, and helping communities to be inclusive and diverse.
